Made from a set of almost 100 model skyscrapers up to 9’ tall that hang upside down like stalactites from the ceiling, The Hive defines the 31st Street entryway to the Train Hall. A mirrored base allows commuters to feel projected into the cityscape and creates a sort of mirage of an imaginary city. The work was named The Hive to reflect how cities, with their richness of diversity, function because people accept certain rules for coexisting.

Sean Billy Kizy led this project as a lead Project Manager at UAP Polich Tallix. Their role focused on full coordination of all elements along with the fabrication of the mirror structure and logistics efforts. Model buildings were designed by E&D.
