Moon Mirror is composed of a blue-hued array of custom-made prismatic glass tiles set into a curved, crescent-shaped metal structure. Taking the form of a half-moon setting onto a landscape, the sculpture’s bowed form, surrealistic blue color, and illusory material characteristics engage with the moon’s influence on perception, as a changing force that pulls at us and illuminates the night. The parabolic structure functions as a shimmering, light-filled sculpture as well as an acoustic reflector and a space that invites activation.

Sean Billy Kizy led this project as a lead Project Manager at UAP Polich Tallix. Moon Mirror has since been acquired by the Toledo Museum of Art as part of its permanent collection.
